Payment Methods
Payments by Debit Card incur no additional fees. The bank charges a nominal amount for processing of Debit Cards
which we bear the cost of. A higher charge is levied by the bank for processing credit cards. This cost will be passed
on, therefore payments mades by Credit Cards will incur a 2% surcharge.
Payments may be transferred directly into our account using the CHAPS method.
A Bankers Draft or Building Society cheques are accepted providing they can be authenticated by the issuer. Bankers Drafts or Building society Cheques should be made out to The Watch Agency.
Other methods of payment may be possible for instance Cash or Goods in Part Exchange.
3D Secure
3D secure is a relatively recent system for combating online card fraud. It protects the cardholder by requiring a password to be set up and used each time an online transaction is made.
The password works like the chip and pin sytem for card present transactions. Mastercard have incorporated 3D secure by introducing Securecode and Verified is used for Visa card holders.
It only takes a few minutes to set up and will give added protection to your future transactions. We require all card transactions to be processed using 3D secure. If you have any questions regarding 3D secure please ask us or contact your card issuer/bank.
Delivery or Collection
We use Royal Mail Special Delivery for all watches and items of jewellery. Royal Mail Special Delivery is a next working day delivery service and can be tracked and traced and requires a signature at the delivery address. Items are insured against loss or damage whilst in transit.
Alternatively you can collect your watch in person by appointment. In this case you may secure the watch with a 20% deposit and pay the balance on collection.
Ordering a Watch
We require a 20% deposit to order a watch that is not held in stock or secure a watch that is in stock. Providing goods are fit for purpose deposits are not refundable but may be transferred to another item at our discretion. Our policy is in place to guard us against potential losses as a result of cancelled orders. The Watch Agency is not an agent or affiliated with any watch manufacturer. We work as an agent only for our customers, to make them savings and/or obtain for them watches more quickly than dealing directly with the manufacturers agents. Watches that we discribe as "new" are unused with seals intact along with the manufacturers box and paperwork. New watches are sourced from the manufacturers authorised agents according to customers specification. The agent will stamp and date the paperwork when it leaves their care and the manufacturers warranty will comence. Cancelling the order would mean the intended recipients details would be on the paperwork and would require us to sell the watch as pre-owned. We urge customers to contact us if they have any queries to ensure the correct item is ordered.
Returns Policy
If goods have been altered to customers specifications as the result of an order then we may make a charge before any refund or exchange can be offered. Any watches ordered 'new' will fall into this catergory for the reasons outlined above. However if your the item delivered if faulty or not the same as specified in the order you will be entitled to a refund in full.
Guarantees
Watches described as new come with the manufacturers warranty unless otherwise specified. Any difference between the date on the manufacturers warranty and the date of despatch/collection will be made up by our Watch Agency warranty.
All pre owned watches are covered by a minimum of 1 year from the date of purchase.
